April Farkis, a dedicated mom and dedicated worker in her 9-to-5 day job stumbled upon the cheesecake business without meaning to. She could not find her husband’s favorite cheesecake flavor for his birthday and thought: ‘How hard could it be?’ it was, indeed, very hard. But she nailed it and all those invited to her husband’s birthday party absolutely loved it. Folks close to her started asking her for cheesecakes for their special events and soon her close friends started to ask when the business was going to become official. April reached out to a friend who ran several successful restaurants for advice on how to get started with. She followed his advice and step-by-step on getting licensed and started making cheesecakes on his restaurant’s kitchen. Fast forward some time and she successfully runs a food truck, as well as online orders for pick up and deliver. She came to us looking to upscale, looking for ways to manage her time and make this her main source of income so she could dedicate herself to this full-time, as well as being a mom.

So, we got started. We talked manufacturers, manifestation, ways to get new customers and participate in local events, insurance and how she could manage her time as to not sacrifice the time with her family. All of this knowing that she is her product and that her recipe is what brought her to this point.
