I’m an entrepreneur and graduate of Florida State University with a BS in Finance. I created and successfully ran six companies in four different industries during the last 30 years.
I started off in sales for Carnation Company, where I became Salesman of the Year. Soon after, I became National Account Manager at Quaker Oats, overseeing the creation of many branded food products (like the Burger King French Toast Sticks) and becoming National Account Manager of the Year five times in a row.
As an entrepreneur, I started Strategic Marketing; one of the First National Account Food Service Brokerage Companies in the country, developed many successful product lines including the Holiday Inn Express Cinnamon Roll and Breakfast Program, Moe’s Queso and multiple signature items for Costco. I also ran another successful venture called The Signature Food Group, creating and selling multiple products to Costco and Dollar Tree.
I believe my knowledge in business, honed over 40 years in myriad industries, could be used to do good around the world. With this in mind, I decided to help create an orphanage start-up in Honduras, a college scholarship program for underprivileged youth, as well as serve on the Board at Samaritan House and North Georgia Walk to Emmaus.
